The title of the album has the finger pointed directly at the listener. This is about you and your relationship with humanity, ultimately the battles fought within the mind from child to man. Through Kubler Ross’ model of impending death, with reference to war, the turmoil leads us to peace and acceptance… only then to swing straight back round to chaos.

After five years, THRESHOLD are back with a brand-new studio album, recorded & produced in Thin Ice Studios (DRAGONFORCE, PENDRAGON) by Karl Groom and Richard West with additional production at Eightspace Studio (LEAGUE OF LIGHTS, THE MORNING AFTER). Progressive as always but stronger than ever - it’s not for nothing that the opus is entitled “March Of Progress”! With a total running time of almost 70(!) minutes, it marks the longest but yet most diversified release of the band’s entire career. Enchanting melodies to die for, perfectly blended with just the right pitch of harshness and topped off with Damian Wilson’s heavenly vocals. Don’t be a stick-in-the-mud - join the “March Of Progress”!

The flagship band for East German rock, Puhdys formed officially in 1969 in Oranienburg, although members of the band had been working together since 1965. The band name was made up of the first letters of the initial members' first names, which at the start featured Peter Meyer on keyboards, Udo Jacob on drums, Harry Jeske on bass, and Dieter Herttrampf on vocals and guitar…

The music is a blend of classic 60's rock, a bit of psychedelic characteristics, some hard rock touches and folk rock (mainly due to the flute part). The musicians play fairly good, but nothing too extraordinary, leaving the music itself to speak for them. Classic first album by this early German band.

Very popular artist in Italy, both as a solo artist and as session musician, Mauro Pagani had a good solo career after leaving Premiata Forneria Marconi in 1976, tired of the long hard work on the road. In his early days as a musician, Pagani had played with Gli Araldi, JB Club, I Dalton. His love for the world music strongly emerged in his 1978 first album, simply entitled Mauro Pagani, featuring many of the best Italian musicians of that time, among which Area's members Demetrio Stratos, Patrizio Fariselli, Giulio Capiozzo and Ares Tavolazzi, PFM's old cohorts Franco Mussida, Patrick Djivas and Franz Di Cioccio, singer Teresa De Sio. The album is very far from his old band's works, with strong oriental folklore influences, but definitely a very good one.

Clark-Hutchinson's debut album had been devoted entirely to long, tiresome psychedelic guitar instrumentals with Indian and blues-rock influences. On their second record, although some of that approach was retained, they at least branched out to some degree, adding some vocals and somewhat more deranged blues-rock tangents…

The Dresden heavy retro band Wucan began their quick ascent in 2014. Everything began with their first EP Vikarma, released in November 2014 on Metalizer Records. This release, which quickly sold its first 500 vinyl copies, received many positive reviews. With all of this praise Wucan entered the studio to record their debut album Sow the Wind. The band worked at Big Snuff Studio in Berlin, a well-known studio in the retro scene, with pioneer Richard Behrens. Behrens was able to capture on tape the essence and dynamic of a Wucan live show, which carries a hippy attitude with a modern rock sound…

Official Release #100. The LAST album by Frank Zappa. The last album that guitarist Frank Zappa worked on prior to his death in December 1993 will finally be released this June. Titled Dance Me This, the LP is considered the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's 100th and final official release, ending a legacy that began with the Mothers of Invention's landmark 1966 album Freak Out! In talking to Guitar Magazine prior to his death at the age of 52, Zappa described his final LP as "a Synclavier album called Dance Me This, which is designed to be used by modern dance groups. It's probably not going to come out until next year," the Guardian reports. The album was ultimately shelved indefinitely, and while a steady stream of posthumous releases and reissues have satisfied Zappa fans in the following decades, Dance Me This was all but forgotten until Zappa's widow Gail Zappa began hinting at the final album's eventual arrival in 2011.

Bad Dreams is a Latin American progressive rock band. The group started out as a Genesis cover band which over 10 years became known well enough to recognize their accomplishments as musicians. This also led to contact with Steve Hackett, for whom they became an opening act on his tour, and the last Genesis singer Ray Wilson with whom they also played with. In 2015 the band became the first Latin American band in the Cruise To The Edge celebration where they played successful shows. In 2015, Bad Dreams started of releasing their own solo material. They released their debut album 'Apocalypse Of The Mercy' and followed it up with 'Deja Vu' the next year which features Steve Rothery of Marillion on one of the songs. Music of Bad Dreams can be recommended to both fans of Genesis but also of neo prog in the vein of Marillion.

Invisible are from Argentina and they released 3 albums in the seventies before calling it quits. Their second album named Durazno Sangrando from 1975 is to many the peak, the story is based on the book of Carl Jung and has very solid lyrics besides music made by the head of the band Luis Alberto Spinetta. It has some great instrumental sections like the opening track Encadenado al ánima who is the longest from here. Not very much to add, while is pleasent most of the time, on some particular passages is little going on even has some subltle jazz symphonic arrangements in overall sound.

Post-metal is often described in terms of its unyielding bleakness. The genre has long been defined by its extended passages of droning guitars, its anguished vocal roars, moments of melancholic ambience, and a commitment to experimentation and avant-garde practices over rival metal subgenres’ dalliances with “fun” (ie spandex, solos, and carefree headbanging). From Isis’ Oceanic to Aidan Baker’s Already Drowning, post-metal also has an eerie obsession with succumbing to the deadly lure of the sea. In certain ways, Philadelphia’s Rosetta plough a similar furrow. Their sixth album boasts funereal tempos and sombre soundscapes galore…
